Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies the response. We do not keep a separate log or copy of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to answer and maintain the correspondence. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical details when a page loads:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small device files that help measure traffic patterns, including popular pages and points where visits end. Analytics providers combine that information for reporting. A browser can refuse cookies, although some site functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search requests to the right partner service
- Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
- Tracking down and fixing technical issues
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site identifies how to seek Fremont County records from the sheriff, the District Court clerk, Idaho State Police Bureau of Criminal Identification, and the Idaho Central Sex Offender Registry. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern information submitted through those tools. Review the applicable provider policy before running a query because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Fremont County offices, Idaho agencies, courts, legal-aid resources, or private search services. Once a visitor follows an outbound link, the destination's privacy terms apply. Check those terms before providing personal details.
Advertising companies may also use their own systems to track activity across websites for interest-based ads.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may end up with:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for collected information. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, however, and we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
This resource is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with the law where a visitor lives. Idaho's Public Records Act, Idaho Code title 74, chapter 1, governs records held by public agencies, while Idaho Code §67-3008 controls disclosure and redisclosure of state criminal-history information. Those statutes do not turn this private site into a government records custodian. Subject to applicable privacy and consumer-protection law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
